These work great as you can change the angle of the dumbbell  to increase or decrease the resistance-depending on how you hold them in the water. I would have given 5 stars but they let water inside the handles that won’t drain quickly so they leak in the gym bag.  Solution is to pack them in a net bag separate from gym bag.  In spite of this flaw I would buy again based on their performance in the pool.
