Good EVA fin, careful on sizing. |

These are my first EVA foam fins. The floatation certainly promotes good body position. It's also generally more comfortable since it's so light. This comes at the sacrifice of power compared to a traditional fin. It also makes some things more difficult, such as underwater kick, where the fins try to pull you to the surface. The fins do flex a little to the point of creasing slightly just beyond my toes as I kick.
A note on sizing. I read a couple of reviews elsewhere which recommended buying these true to size. I took this advice and bought the size speedo recommended. I feel there is too much room at this size, and my foot has a little too much ability to slide forward and back. Fortunately, the design of these fins means the foam can actually grip the arch of your foot decently without support from the ankle strap. My instinct is to recommend one size smaller than listed by speedo. Try them on in person if you get the chance.
