5 of 5 Speedfil A2 Stem Mount July 24, 2023

I like this- was an inexpensive way to support a standard water bottle cage tucked in between the arms on the tri bike.  I like being able to use a standard water bottle in it.  Access is easy, and the mount is strong and rigid- holds the cage nice and securely.

2 of 5 Meh..... good idea but.... June 3, 2021

Not sturdy enough for gravel biking- vibrations cause the bolts to loosen ( including the stem bolt!). and the whole bottle cage to start spinning.  One of the bolts was also so long that it was hitting on the stem and scratching it.  Probably would be okay on paved roads, but ended up tossing it and using zap straps instead on my gravel bike

3 of 5 It works but with a caveat June 20, 2017
Reviewer: Steven from vancouver, BC Canada
Pros:
- the set up is quite adjustable, allowing a couple positions (fore/aft ) so you can get you bottle in a convenient and out of the way position.
-Price: cheaper than a lot of options to mount hydration up front like this.
Cons: The issue I have found is that when I torque down the headset top cap to the appropriate tension, the mount can still easily be twisted side to side; the eventually have the effect of backing out the topcap bolt. Luckily the stem bolts hold tension on the headset in this case. I retightened everything and haven't had this issue again.
