Many derailleur chains use a master link that allows the chain to be installed and removed by hand. While this type of masterlink doesnt require a traditional chain tool, over time, dirt and corrosion can make it difficult to separate by hand. MLP-1.2 Master Link Pliers make removal and replacement of these masterlinks quick and effortless. Simply insert the specially sized jaws into the masterlink and squeeze the handles.

Well built, nice cushy grips, beefy pivot bolt and locknut. Only beef is that the hole for the pivot bolt to pass through is a little large, giving a sloppy feel.. this should not affect performance at all.

No more fumbling with needle nose pliers or trying to contort the chain to remove the master link. This tool removes or installs the link in seconds with no damage to the chain.
