5 of 5 No more dizziness July 29, 2018
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Port Moody, BC Canada
Used to feel off balance when leaving pool after laps;  wasn't just regaining 'land legs' after all: I hadn't been getting enough oxygen!  Valve system resistance takes a bit of getting used to; loved the fact that TriBoutique turned out to be here in Vancouver with me!  Delightful surprise that removed all apprehension about online ordering. Thanks!

5 of 5 Ameo Power Breather Wave Edition April 27, 2018
Reviewer: John from Calgary, AB Canada
Thank You Tri B for your prompt delivery of this great product and for several dollars less. I have asthma so swimming laps was difficult I even tried the Finis swimming snorkel but found that the air was stale and leaving me with a very dry throat. But with the PB I was able to do laps a lot easier and a lot more. You have to adjust to it at first because if you breath shallow your done. However once you've adjusted my endurance improved. Thanx again Tri B

5 of 5 Better than a usual snorkel September 7, 2017
Reviewer: Barry D from ON Canada
It is pricey, but it is much better than a usual snorkel.  Although there is a slight restriction when breathing from the membranes in the valves it is easy and quick to get used to.  I really like the fact that the exhaled air is completely removed and there is a lot of new air that can be inhaled.  It is easy to put on and during breaks at the wall you can just rotate the mouthpiece out of the way.  I am also hopeful this will help me in learning to do flip turns because the breathing part  hurdle I need to get down.

I used the pool/shorter valaves at practice without any issues, but if it was really choppy then at least I have the wave/longer valves in case needed.  All parts are the same as those listed on the triboutique website.  The odd part is the manual mentions that the blind valve should be included but the packaging doesn't.  I am guessing that is the confusion from a previous reviewer.

Took  awhile to get used to to resistance when inhaling but once achieved it works great.Swimming  even in very windy days  with large waves is a joy.
I would recommend this to anyone who swims in lakes or the ocean,it is a well designed product worth every penny!

3 of 5 Missing parts? July 4, 2017
Reviewer: James from Bridgenorth, ON Canada
I purchased the Wave edition of the power breather.  I noticed in the manual that it should include a hard case for the parts, but it was a soft case that is issued with the lap and sport model.  Also it  should have had the blind cap but it did not.  I don't think this is Triboutiques problem, but I wonder if the manufacturer has made changes after the manual was printed.  The snorkel takes a few laps to get used to, but once you're on to the breathing it works wonderful.  I did find that even using it in a pool that the longer vent was needed, but that could be due to my head position.  If you don't mind the price and the missing items, Id recommend it.

5 of 5 Very good but need to get used to it June 27, 2017

Overall the snorkel is very well made.  The first few times I used it the air seemed to be slightly restricted when I inhaled.  After a few sessions I got used to it and the slight restriction made for a stronger workout.

The snorkel clamps to your head with a headband which is different from a traditional snorkel. If water gets in you can't spit out the mouth piece to get rid of the water.  I found a different technique where you leave the mouth piece in your mouth but open your mouth creating a space between your lower lip and the bottom of the mouth piece.  This allows you to breath while you remove the snorkel.

So far the valves are working well and I have had no water enter the snorkel.

Flip turns work well and the snorkel stays in place.  You need to remember to breath out only after the flip turn is complete in order to expell any water that got in.

Overall an excellent product but you need to give it a bit of time to get used to it.
